The two invited several members from other clubs to join the newly formed MassMasters. Today, Alex has moved on, but Jack Fougere, Jay Brynild still remain as "founding fathers".

The MassMasters meet every first Thursday of every month. The meetings are held at a location in Framingham to accommodate our members from all areas of MA, NH and RI. It's quite fun. We are a "democratic society" dedicated to serving not only our club by-laws, but those of the Federation as well as B.A.S.S.

The current MassMasters Bass Fishing Club is made up of 18 very dedicated members. We have 9 "boaters" and 9 "non-boaters", which keeps things even in support of our draw tournament format. We are not one of those "paper clubs", you know the ones that have just enough members to send to the state fish-offs without actually qualifying. Rather, we fish 6 tournaments during the months of May - September, with a handful of fun tourneys thrown in. The top 8 qualifying members (along with 2 alternates) are sent to the State Fish-Offs every year, with a chance to move on to the regionals, nationals, and maybe even the Classic!
